Dance, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Traditional and Digital Visual Art, Creative Writing, and Acting are a part of every student’s schedule. Our extensive arts program is integrated into our rigorous academic curriculum: Math, Science, English, Social Studies and the Languages.

At the Arts Academy, we have implemented a model of teacher and family collaboration that, we feel, allows for much more regular communication than the occasional parent-teacher conferences.
We strongly believe that communication and check-ins should happen regularly throughout the year—not just at progress reports and report card times. We also believe that high school students are ready to accept the responsibility for their own learning and should begin to take control of their own educational future.
As part of our ongoing collaboration with parents, we host two Curriculum Nights each year. These are opportunities to learn about our programs, an overview of courses, and teacher expectations. These are not intended to be traditional parent teacher conferences and parents are always encouraged to e-mail or set up a meeting with the teacher to discuss individual student concerns.
