​A parent/guardian of a current student may update student contact, address, medical, and allergy information using the Returning Student Gateway.

You can log in using your district-provided username (student ID number) and password (student’s date of birth formatted mm/dd/yyyy). (Student ID number can be found in PowerSchool or Unified Classroom​)

Guidelines for parents/guardians regarding medication at school can be updated by logging into Returning Student Gateway.

Please be aware that there are slightly different regulations for Prescription and Over the Counter Medications, but we require a signed form for ALL medication that students need to take at school.

• All medication must be stored in the office.
• All medication must be in the original container and unopened when delivered to school. Your child’s name must be on the medicine bottle or packaging.
• If your child is sick it is not appropriate to treat the symptoms at school. Medication may help briefly or reduce a fever, but he/she is still contagious and should be home.
• This form MUST be completed prior to the start of each school year and/or if any changes in the student’s health occur.
• The very first dose of this medication may not be given at school.
• Unused medication may be picked up by a parent/guardian any time before the end of the school year. Medication remaining after the last day of school will be properly discarded.

 Parents/guardians have the right to come to school and give medication to their child without an order form on file. However, all sick children should be home to help prevent the spread of communicable disease.

Access the REQUEST FOR SPECIAL MEALS or ACCOMMODATIONS form if your student has a food allergy and/or is requesting a special meal substitution or accommodation. This information can be updated by logging into Returning Student Gateway in the sidebar.

• The form must be signed by a parent/guardian and a physician.
• Return form to main office so information can be noted in both PowerSchool and Meal Magic (current lunch program) to allow for any necessary food accommodations.
• If your student’s food allergy requires medication (Benedryl, EpiPen, etc.), please follow process for PRESCRIBED MEDICATION.

In order to help our new students be prepared for a new school and for high school, we expect all new students to attend an orientation where they will learn about the community, culture, and diversity at the Arts Academy. Our goal is to help answer many of the questions that new students and parents have.

New Student Orientation will be August 30, 2023.
